CIEH Environmental Management at Work

This course is intended for employees with strategic and environmental management responsibilities in public and private sectors to enable them to pay greater attention to specific management procedures and techniques. At the end of the programme candidates should be able to:

• Understand and state the commercial, legal and
• societal reasons affecting issues of environmental
• management at work
• Plan and conduct the actions necessary to the
• implementation of an environmental management
• system
• Identify practical solutions to improve the
• environmental performance of their organisations
• Know where to seek appropriate external advice
• and support for implementing environmental
• management measures
• Play a part in communicating the environmental
• achievements of their organisations to key
• stakeholders

Assessment method = 3 hour written exam comprising 10 short answer questions, three structured questions and a case study
