Just a quick note to thank you on behalf of all the Lancashire Police Federation H & S Representatives who attended the NEBOSH Certificate course that you ran in November/December 2004.

As you will be aware all candidates from Lancashire obtained Credits and a couple were very close to Distinctions. This is testament to your skill and expertise and the time that you put in after hours on both group and personal tuition. You managed to guide a group of police officers, many who had not taken an examination of any kind for over 20 years, through an intensive 12 days of study and successfully through two examinations and a practical exercise.

Your passion for Health and safety was obvious for all to see, by ensuring that safe working practices are implemented and H & S legislation is adhered to, we can ensure the safety of our members. As you so rightly said we all have the right to expect to return home from work in the same condition we arrived.

The knowledge we have gained and the qualification you have assisted us in obtaining is sure to pay dividends. If we get Health, Safety and Welfare right the benefits will be apparent for all to see.

Once again many thanks for all your efforts and I am sure that the Lancashire Police Federation will use your services again in the future.

NEBOSH Course October 2004 Delivered at Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service Training Centre, Washington Hall

I just wanted to drop you a few lines to thank you for the superb instruction and facilities on the above course.

It has been many years since I have been in a similar environment, I did find the course content very intense, especially as I do not come from a safety background.

Paul Unsworth made the whole leaning experience a real joy, his style is well suited to this type of tuition, and he being able to relate subject matter to his real life experiences certainly adds to its credibility and makes for easier digestion.

Paul is a real asset and I would have no hesitation in recommending him or Washington Hall to anyone in the future.
